Re: 17's on a stock civic???
um... its your choice - with a 2inch/50mm drop you may need to buy better shocks to cope with the change in angle...
most places recommend you to upgrade shocks. not sure about struts though... can anyone else help with this? |

Re: 17's on a stock civic???
i think they will be a close match to the price of the actual springs themselves...

i have 17s on my ek civic hatch. It is lowered 2.25 inches on neuspeed race springs and koni yellow shocks. The car is also my daily driver. The drop on the car suits the rims well. As for ride quality, well it is fine for me, (but my girl hates it!). The neuspeeds and konis are great quality. I have the konis on the medium setting and the ride is not too harsh and it seems to cope well with the crappy british roads.

Re: 17's on a stock civic???
i test drove a 98 GS-R with 17s on a 40 series tire with stock springs/shocks. it rode worse than my 90 integra with 14 year old suspension, DROPZONE coilovers (harsh as fuck), and BLOWN stock shocks. 17s are
. after that i replaced my dropzone coils with skunk2 lowering springs (progressive spring rate  ) and KYB GR-2 shocks. rides almost as comfortable as stock, just a little stiffer, which, is better anyway
