3.8 idles rough, Wheres my EGR ????

Hi,
I have a 92 olds sil 3.8, its idling rough after it warms up mostly, seems fine on the rod but when i stop it idles rough, i just replaced the pressure regulator and fuel filter and it started doing this now, my dad had the same problem on his 94 and he would tap on the egr valve and it would stop, he replaced his and it solved the problem. i cannot find the EGR. It should be in the front on the right hand side just like my dads 95 according to the chilton manual i have but I cannot find it anywhere.

Could the EGR be my problem too, or suggestions??
Where is my EGR valve???

perhaps you should replace spark plugs and wires,it would not hurt to have the coil packs checked too some auto parts stores can do that for you.also are you getting good vacume to fuel pressure regulator? check for cracked,loose vacume hoses,also 3800 engins had intake manifold leak problems. EGR valve should be located on DRIVERS side (left) on engine. it will be a round object with a wire plug connected to it.Good Luck..P.S is your fuel pump supplying enough pressure???
