Well it's not hard, they're about 50,000 credits, basically working your way up from the first races in beginner mode will get you into the R32 V Spec II, but I'm more inclined to go for the Mitsubishi Evo 7, tthe GTR understeers way too much.

I think Drifting looks like BIG TIME FUN.

Does it serve any purpose other than that? Doubt it. I don't thikn it's a very fast way to travel either. I really think that having Comps that have scores based on someone's opinion and not time is hurting. I mean, I may think that the Silvia had the best run cuz he used my favorite slide. Then Judge 2 thinks the Corolla won cuz it used his favorite. I do want to try it one day though. Just in really controlled situations.

About the closest thing I get to drifting is scuba diving in a current or a windless day on the yacht... I figure I spent a fortune on tyres, rims, suspension and a decent handling car (not to mention all that time spent at advanced driver training and doing laps) to try to pedal the cars I have to drive at the limit of adhesion and with the maximum amount of adhesion.

As for Performance Cars, if you want acceleration either buy a big roadbike or build a race car. I've been a race car that does 0-100 kph in less than 3 seconds as well as wondering if I was going to slide off the pillion seat on a bike that was marginally slower.

If you want adrenaline and fun - try skydiving or BASE jumping - it probably isn't any safer but you less likely to hurt me or anyone else I know.

I think drifting looks cool and is a fun way to waste tires. However most of the time when I see someone drifting on a PUBLIC road,
they crash within 2 seconds or less(these persons may not
think drifting is so cool after wraping thier hard earned money
around a tree, on a PUBLIC road )
On the other hand, if someone wants to sanction events in a safe
enviorment people should feel free to take part in this (after their
cars start running like crap from all the torment that their drivers can dish
out, my car will be worth more!).
