One answer Taranaki. California. 'Raise taxes and throw more money at a government institution to solve its problem' is the way Democrats work, because they don't want to dig out the root of the problem, which is government waste. Look what happened with Cali. under that type of attitude, we end up in debt because of all the whacked out programs and state boards created, so the Democrats raise taxes again, 'temporarily' (we know how long a 'temporary' tax raise would last now don't we), to solve the problem. The problem is, for every penny the government gets, the fuckers spend it on something, which with democrats, is usually something to do with a social program that goes nowhere or an envoronmental program, which goes nowhere or drives off business. At least with the Mars mission, it's a big fuckin notch on not just Americas, but Humanities belt. "We got Mars baby!" Sounds a bit better than, "We raised another generation of welfare babies to breeding age!" Don't you think?
