upgrading questions
Hey, I am thinking about getting a 3000gt vr-4. I hear that they are pretty fast stock. I have a couple of questions. I am trying to see if I should this to upgrade or just get a V8 of some sort.
1. If I get a boost controller to increase boost, will I have to get bigger injectors to keep the air-fuel mixture right? 2. What other things would I have to get to increase boost? Thanks a lot, JGoodin86 |

Re: Upgrading questions.
well you could get bigger turbos. then you might need to rebuild you engine (idk if it's nessecary though) and upgrade fuel management. boost controllers don't really increase boost-well they can but i'll explain. they control when and how much boost you produce. so you could set it to 7psi in first gear and then 10 psi in 2nd and so on and so forth. customize it to your needs. and then if you're a daily commuter, you could change it to low boost in all gears just so it's easier on your engine. but i'd stick w/ the v-6 tt rather than a v-8.

Re: Upgrading questions.
Vr4's are nice cars and can be very fast. great handling becasue of the AWD.
If you mean to put a v8 in the Vr4, then NO NO NO! if you mean to get another car with a v8 in it, then that is a personal preferrance. I prefer naturally aspirated v8's, but that's me.
