removing dealership and vtec badges
I did a search and nothing came up.
is there a certain way to remove dealership badges and a vtec badge without causing damage to the paint?? will i need to fill any holes and what would be best to use if so. any comments welcome. thanks |

If the dealer tag is just a sticker warm it up and pull it off. If it's a solid plate style odds are it's just on with foam tape. These are more of a pain. First pry it up and pull it off. Some people will pour some paint thinner on down the back on the tape and let it sit for a few. After its off there will be some tape left on the paint. Again thinner works best IMO. Put some thinner on a rag and use it to keep the tape wet. Now use a razor blade and get between the glue and paint and rock the blade back n forth. It's not as hard as it sounds just make sure you hold the blade almost flat on the car go slow and you wont harm it paint. The biggest PITA imo is dealing with the block of new paint thats never seen sun fade
Old tape style dealer tags are the worse. Without some real buffing you have a dealers name highlighted in like new paint
