If I'm correct my stock 95 GSR has 170 hp and the type R engine is the one that has 195 hp? If this is true is there a way to make the specs of my engine the same as the type R. I know there are ways of making more hp but it would be nice to replace parts or tweek the engine to be the same as the type R or the engine that gets 195 hp thanks.

Re: More than stock HP
Replace piston, head, camshaft, ecm, oil pump, intake manifold. Its cheaper to buy a b18c5 and replace your motor. afther that you could sell your b18c.

Re: More than stock HP
why would you buy a GSR and spend a bunch of money making it into a type-r? why not just buy the type-r to start with?

why spend that much money to only have 195 hp to the crank?
w/ that type of money, there are many other ways to go and put down MUCH more power to the wheels, let alone the crank.

Yeah that’s what I figured that there would be a huge difference. Its funny they make such a different engine when it’s just a few more hp, but I'm sure the type R engine is better and has more potential. Thanks for the info.
