TT on i-4 bad yea you can use n2o. best place to start is if you really going to go turbo do that and if you want a supercharger or want to go allmotor start with intake header exhaust. If your going turbo think about what you want the car like so you can make up your mind for what you want something like a t-25 would be a good smaller turbo.

well a t-28 or a t3 maybe t3/4 would all work. Umm t4 with shot of n20 for helping spoll teh turbine. get good set rims and tires. Also Supercharer would work lots of people here don't like them but i've been in a S2k with one and other work it FLEW!

you don't really hear too much of people putting a turbo in an S2000, but if you want to then by all means go for it. however, most people go with the supercharger and that goes without complaint. (from most people). therefore, supercharging your S2000 is a safe bet.

Jackson Racing, Comptech and Vortech all make superchargers for the s2000. A JRSC is the cheapest, but as with most performance parts, you get what you pay for. Check out each company's website to compare. Also, by 'cross country' did you mean autocross? If so, definitely go with a S/C. The lag on a turbo would be a disadvantage when you have to constantly brake and make tight turns.

both comptech and vortec have a little bit of lag i believe. JRSC's don't really have any lag at all. if you need the power right away, i think JRSC's are the way to go. comptech's website said that it makes the power in the high rpms. either way, choose what's right for you application

Re: just got my s2000 and need advise and help!!

does JRSC make a centrifugal SC for the S2K like the Comptech and Vortec does? I've heard some bad things about the roots type blowers on 4 cylinders.

A supercharger doesn't have lag. Power in high rpm's just means that most of the noticeable power gains don't come until you're in the upper part of the power band. An S/C make power exponentially. Even at 2000 rpms it's making power; it may not be a lot of power, but it's there. A turbo, on the the other hand, literally doesn't make any power until it has spooled.

Re: just got my s2000 and need advise and help!!

"thepeug" thnx bro that was extremely helpful, and yea i meant autocross.....so basically i should get a supercharger instead. sounds like a real safe bet. but now another question...can NOS be safely used w/ superchargers while keepin the original engine on the s2000 alone? because i heard rumors that its too much to take and id blow the pistons and stuff in my car. i deff dont want that so i need to know ahead of time b4 i go out and order parts. and would i need an intercooler for the supercharger....no rite?

Re: Re: just got my s2000 and need advise and help!!

ok you build you internals, new pistons, rods, you know the works bulletproof bottem end, lower compression to 9:1 and get some better cams, put a mid-sized single turbo, like a t04-e and turn to boost to 16psi and you should make an easy 350+hp
and since you internals are built you can boost more.. and do the fuel managment regardless of turbo or s/c you need more fuel for more air. i say get a new fuel pump and regulator that is higher flowing , and do the exhaust system as well and get a fuel air managment device to tune all the mods ..
good luck

Not having a lag with a centrifugal is BULLSHIT! You have to wait untill redline to make full boost, how is that not lag? just look at the powerband, the curve absolutley sucks on centrifugal blown high RPM cars.
