Hi all,
I really need some help here! My 1991 Voyager (2.5L engine) developed an irritating oil leak. I replaced all seals but the leak continues and I can't see where it comes from. It's dripping at a rate of one drop/second, and some of the oil gets on one of the belts and sprays all over the place! Any help would be very much appreciated!!!!!! |

![]() I put the car on ramps and even looking directly at the engine I cannot see where it comes from, it just drips out of somewhere!!! Maybe that's the famous "Mistery Oil"!!!! |

Wow. That sucks!
Is it possible you have a small fracture in the block somewhere? Maybe you can clean off the engine with a good de-greeser and see the leak that way. If it is one drip every second, I'm sure you could spot it when the engine is clean. That is a lot of oil loss! |

It is, I'll tell ya...
I saw at PepBoys a kit with some kind of chemical that you put in the oil and with a special light you can see where the oil is leaking from, sort of ultraviolet light against the chem mixed in the oil. Ever heard of such thing? |

Does it leak only when the engine is running? If not, then the leak must be in the oil pan correct? (I'm not too familiar with Chrysler engines). |

It leaks for some time after you STOP the vehicle (and of course when you drive it). In other words when the oil is hot and under (maybe) some pressure. I'm still puzzled.......
The oil pan is intact. |

Re: Elusive oil leak...
Could be excessive crankshaft end play.Idout it because you say it leaks shut down.No pressure shut down.Could be clogged return holes in cylander head.Did you replace the cam seal? The dye will show oil leaks as green.Mainly made for 2 units separatly sealed bolted together like transmission and transfer case that use the same color oils.Put the dye only in 1 unit for examination.
