Hi,
very nice car you did !
but one or two suggestion :
-as Mr Gainsbourg told you, sand the tire, it's much more realistic
-for next time try to sand and putty the two half intake
-change the decals seat belts. it's not so expensive. you can find several sets. for example S27 has a nice one and you can build 3 or 4 kits with it. There is also Renaissance which is good. Otherwise, if you want incredible details but expensive, take the Scale Motor Sport.

Except these small details, very nice job Vric and keep going on !!!

Cheers,
Steve

The car is very nice even you got some problems like running out of primer etc. But still, great work on the detailing!

Mercedes et al

I think it's a really good job.

Being a 33 year old who just got back into modeling about 3 years ago (I was a competition winner when I was a 8-12 year old, before I discovered computers and cycling), my models are about the same level as yours.

A suggestion: next time you're doing a silver or any other metallic color (so long as this matches) try using one of Testor's MetalMaster paints. I know this paint is not designed to do bodies, but I used one of the aluminum colors (at the moment I don't remember the exact one) when I completed my 2001 Peugeot 206 WRC (Tamiya - of course!). Though I didn't place or win in any of the 3 competitions I entered with it, many people thought it was beautiful. Currently it's the car in my display cabinet that gets to sit on the turntable!. For some reason, people always liked my Subie models best - and a Skyline R33 I did in a custom red color. That was a kit I spent a ton of time on the body and it paid off for the most part.

What really stinks is when you spend a ton of time on a car, paint it black or charcoal, and no one appreciates it! I have an R34 Skyline that is near perfect and no one gives it a second glance, but it's probably my best work!

Oh well, I do models of what I love and I ain't spending 50 bucks for non-decal seatbelst either. IMHO, I think that cloth or other material belts in a 1/24 scale car look just as fake as decals do.

Thanks for comments.. I use a lot of Testor / Model Master paint

Look in the Gallery I have done a Peugeot with Testor Silver, but the Tamiya one is way more shinny !

Good Job recovering from problems. That's the mark of a good modeler. I used Model Master silver on my Merc, with Future acrylic floor wax over it. The Future being water based didnt attack the enamel, which would have 'grayed' it.
