fuel guage

the fuel guage does not work properly i will be driving and it will say half tank when i just filled it up and drove 5 minutes down the road and now i have driven it quite far and says that it is full the guage does not move very fast or quite often so i am not sure what is happing so if u have any info please help cause it sucks not knowing how much gas i have in my tank. thanks John

Most likely you have a bad sender.
