My 87 cherokee, at any speed, will just cut out. Its like it doesnt fire. Took it to the shop, they have no idea, the guy thinks it could be the computer. When he had it hooked up to his machine everytime it cut out the computer went off line.
DOES anybody have a clue what is causing this HELP PLEASE |

Check the ignition sw on the steering column it may be going bad. I have had to replace mine 2 times in the last 7 years (68,000) because it burned up a contact, and would stop working at times. Good luck

Hi,
Check the Crankshaft Position Sensor (CPS), it can cause the Jeep to randomly cut-out an/or refuse to start if it is faulty.
