1987 firebird trans am gta wont run

the car died yesterday. mirrors, trunk, parking, horn,interior lights all work. no head lights, windows, radio, gauges, intruments, starter. battery full, but nothing else. any ideas?

I'd check the fusable links and wires off the starter.

thank you. i climbed under the car and saw what appeared to be the 3 links to which you refer. i could jus t see them, let alone reach them. they look like they are about 3 inches long, retangular in shape. how do i reach them? how do i check them?

yep, that is them. gotta get her butt up in the air. Unless you're REALLY skinny. To check, often times a visual inspection will reveal a sign of burns/melting. I would also highly recommend disconnecting the battery for the process.

oh, this just dawned on me, also check the "ign" fuse under the dash.

is the fuse marked "ignition"/"ign" or ign/ecm? i couldnt see one in the fuse box that was only marked ign. or is it somewhere else?

ehhhhh, it's been a while and my GTA is indisposed at the moment but I do believe it should just be "ign".
