Not sure how much you're looking to spend, but the first thing I would do is get a set of headers from T/A Performance, run 2 1/2 inch dual exhaust back from that, and I have a set of Borla "Hemi" mufflers on my '69, and then they're run out the side behind the doors.
Of course this depends on how much work you've done to the engine. Even though it's not a good thing for performance, if you're just running the stock engine with the stock cam then the engine "wants" backpressure. However, if you've changed the cam, and have done a little upgrading (bigger 4bbl carb, better intake, etc) then you'll get a better response. By leaving the stock manifold and single exhaust (I assume it's using a 2bbl), you really won't get the sound you're looking for. It'll sound alright, but won't have the true potential of dual exhaust with a higher compression spec engine. I also noticed you had another thread asking about tail lights. Just look around on search engines (try google or dogpile) and you should eventually come across what you need. (If you're looking to upgrade the performance of you Buick, taperformance.com is the only place I go to) Good luck!
