tranny swap??
i'm wanting to buy a 1990 300zx off my uncle, the only problem is that i don't like the fact that its and auto...i was wondering if it was possible to do a tranny swap to a manual, and around how much would i be looking to pay for parts?

It's possible, probably not cheap or easy though..

Its definatly possible (just about anything is possible with the right people and tools). Its been done quite a bit. Ive seen friends do it and poffesionals. Look for it to run you about $1000. If you or someone with you knows what there doing, you can swap it out in a weekend.

I thought it cost alot more money to do a trany swap, is $1000 the actual price?

$1000 is about the price of a new tranny. Thats not exact infact its probably off by a little bit but you get the idea. If you want a "proffesional" to put it in for you then its going to cost more.
