Synchros in da tranny...
Hey, I have a 1990 Integra GS.....grindingninto 3rd alot now and its not makin me too happy...when your shootin through the gears down main st. to impress the girls and then GRRRRNT...when i hit 3rd...not too impressive...was wondering if i could buy the new synchros at an advanced auto or something...n how hard it would be to put em in myself?...thx for the help if you do...

first of all it may not be synchros... second of all even if it is take it somewhere. don't do tranny internals yourself. let a professional do it

bout how much would it cost if i took it to a professional to have it done?...500$ish sound bout right?

More, could be lots more. Start with changing the gear oil, sometimes that helps. If you are having synchro problems, chances are you shouldn't go with a synthetic gear oil as it tends to aggravate synchro problems (it flows better so it doesn't slow the gears as much and the synchros need to work a little harder).
