v8 swap

I just picked up a 92 rodeo and i was wondering if anyone has ever tried to swap in a small block v8. I`m more of a muscle head and i`d like to try to install one. I`d love to have a throaty exhaust and a lot more power. It`s a 4x4 and i`d like to keep it that way. I`d appreciate any help with my new project vehicle. Thank you in advance. It currently has a 3.1 v6
