AN LS1 6SPEED CAMARO CAN ABSOLUTELY NOT HIT 12.9 SECONDS WITHOUT MAJOR GUTTING!!!! At The Track where you get your best ET's I have never seen the AT LS1 lose to the 6spd. my buddy's z28 AT ls1 with 330hp beats 6spd SS's all day by a helluva margin with only a 5hp advantage and the loss that comes with hydraulic fluid in the AT. the Z28 im talking about ran an unreal 13.44 with nothing taken out or put in. Now if u go by the 100lbs = .1s theory you would have to find a way to take out over 400lbs of car. seats are about 120lbs (good start but...) sound deadening is another 30. spare tire, jack, owners manual pencils, papers, kilo of cocaine, about 20 lbs. From there if u got SLICKS Then you would be able to hit 12.9 as a marginal driver. But on street tires..good luck.

P.S. Slicks are not "Bone-Stock"

OMG, you have no idea what you are talking about obviously? ''hydraulic fluid'' in an AT tranny, should I even comment?
Well you must have only seen crappy manual drivers because a manual will wup an AT's butt by a half a second in the quarter. And yes I know bone stock means no slicks
And only excellent drivers can hit 12's, of course marginal drivers will not be able to do it.
The mach I mustang can hit 12.97 with drag radials, and the 6 speed LS1 is faster.

It's not the HP loss, it's the gearing. Why do you think they make 6 speeds? Because the gears are really close to each other and when you shift it doesn't drop the RPM's out of your peak power zone. Obviously 4 gears are not going to be as good as 6. And you can shift faster in the MT than you can the AT, unless you get a shift kit but thats not ''bone stock'' now is it?

PW.. I am sorry but.. bullshit. 12's are NOT possible with the LS1 bone stock! Doesnt matter who the driver is, you are NOT hitting 12's. Sorry i had to tell you that.

And where did you get your information?
Would you agree that an LS1 camaro is faster than the new Mach I mustang?

Look here the mach I does 12.97 on drag radials and a good driver. It's hard to read, but the second paragraph-the small one.
