Although a bypass valve HELPS it does not completly prevent hydrolocking compared to the stock setup.

What are the disadvantages of a 2 peice vs one or are there any? thx

Easier to install mostly
no performance gain that I am aware of

dam i'm full of questions but does an aftermarket header usually mount up to the stock exaust system(im going to put a catback on after the header)cuz i don't have my catback yet and i wan't to make sure it will fit

there is a couple of reason you don't see most companies have OEM headers. Emission is a big thing and its a lot more durable and cheaper to manufacture our regular manifold than the tubular design.

No because it doesn't mount up to your cat back. It mounts up to the cat and yes most of them mat to your stock cat. The problem lies when you get a " race header " or a 98 JDM ITR header. They have a 2 1/2 in collector. In this case a new cat or flange is needed.
