Unhappy Electric Windows on 1984 733I

I need information on how to trouble shoot and repair electric windows on my 733I. I recently purchased the BMW at a lien sale. I'm a first time owner of a BMW. If anybody can give me information or at least point me in the right direction to find the answer. I'm looking for a manual on BMW electric windows if their for sale.

You have not said what is wrong with them. Have you checked the breaker(rocker switch) on the knee pad to the right of the steering wheel ? These are often tripped when someone cleans the interior.
If that does not work check the fuses . I can also give you direction on how to clean the window switches.

Good luck,

Mark

Hi Mark

Thanks for taking the time to e-mail me about my problem with the electric windows. First of all, working on this BMW is is foreign to me( no pun intended) I've never owned a BMW before, so I know absolutely nothing about trouble shooting this car. This is going to be quite a learning experience for me. You mentioned the rocker switch on the right of the steering wheel. I'll check for that. All you have to do Mark is walk me through this process and advise me on what to check. I really appreciate you taking the time to help me. Thank You!!!!

Jesse
