transmission help
I'm thinkin bout purchasing a 240sx with sr20det and around 400hp with major mods etc. The one problem (besides it being a 92) is that it's an automatic. Does anyone know what it would take to revert to the 5-speed manual in money and time?

If you cant go through with a tranny swap, this SR powered car may not be the best for you...

if you plan on buying an SR20DET to swap into your car, it'll usually come with it's own 5-speed transmission that will be installed into the car with the engine, so you don't really have to worry about swapping before-hand.
 or did you mean that the car ALREADY has the SR20DET and it's an automatic? if that's the case...source an SR20DET 5-speed (price varies depending on age, condition, mileage etc.), and either try to swap it in yourself (MAKE SURE YOU 100% KNOW HOW TO) or just get a garage to do it for you if you're not confident of your abilities.
