How is the sheet metal under the fender flares?

Re: 2000 SIL rust belt protection
sheet metal is still good, no rust. I believe these rubber shields reduce the amount of snow slop thrown about . this then protects the metal finish from damage.
I have removed the flares to clean and inspect every couple of years so far its still good.. since winter is here, I use silicone spray on the wheels, bumper chrome, side moldings, grill chrome. this has also protected these from pitting with all the road chemicals..I only do this in the winter season.. vehicle has 130,ooomi now..going on 11 yrs.. |
