Colorado in the Spring?
I'm trying to plan a trip this Spring and I'd like to hit Black Bear and other trails in Colorado. However, when does the weather usually allow wheeling in Colorado? In other words, when do Black Bear and other trails usually become passable in the Spring? Any help would be appreciated.

I remember when we were there in July some of the trails were just opening. I believe a few were still closed.

Damn, figured that. Looks like it might be Moab then.

The trails in the San Juans are plowed open by Memorial Day, with the exception of Black bear and Poughkeepsie, which have to melt by themselves.
Here's May 29th at about 9,000 feet. http://www.xterrain.com/rollins01.html Most trails (which aren't plowed) don't open until June or July.
