Question D16y7??

For $500?

D16Y7 Engine, Transmission, ECU, Axles, Intermediate Shaft, Complete Engine Wiring Harness, Alternator, Shift Linkage.
55K miles on everything.
And it's only a few miles away where I could pick it up and bring it home rather then have it shipped.
For the price, would it be worth the money, since I'm planning on doing an LS-VTEC swap a few years down the road?

Plus I could sell off all those extra unneeded parts for some extra cash to play with, right?
What do yall think?

If you can do the swap by yourself its not a bad deal, there a shit load of parts u will be getting u wont need, maybe tell the guy to knock the price down and keep all the crap u dont need.

I know.

The 'some' potential I saw in Hyped-1's yellow monster way back in the day.
But I was just about to do the MPFI conversion to my car to hold me over until I could do an LS-VTEC swap, more maybe a B18C5 swap... so I mean... getting a newer lower milage engine at about the same power output at a little more cost... that's not such a bad idea is it?

Yeah.... there's like a two horse power difference between the two... plus, like I said, it's a newer engine.

Anyways, I called the guy and he told me he'd sell me just the Engine, ECU and Wiring Harness for $300.
So I think I'm gonna buy it, and make do with it for now... and then in a few years, I can upgrade big time!

Wow, another Bseries nazi. :o

You have lots of options to tinker with that motor. Would I pay $300 for it all? Nope. But if it is better than what you have now, it will hold you off for your ls/vtec swap.

I know it'd be rather silly to just convert from my DX engine to just a newer DX engine, but it is better then my little 92hp engine I have now.
I don't really plan on tuning it too much anyways... just something with a 'little' more power to hold me over until I can afford something with 'a lot' more power.
And who knows... I may decide to actually build up that engine and slap a turbo on it or something...
