Escort GT, 1991 auto. Seat belt motor
Hi Everyone,
I have a 91 escort GT automatic. There are no mods or anything but it's kept up. It has low Kilometers on it and I like the car. This model came with those automatic seat belts. The only feature of the car that is questionable. Anyway the passenger side motor went on it and I looked all over the junk yards and couldn't find anything. Stores and the dealer want like 400 dollars (CDN) just for the part. Can anyone help me find something a little cheaper? 400 dollars is like 1/2 the worth of the car. Thanks. Regards, Vince.

I'm not sure where to find a cheaper motor, but if possible, you'd be better off switching to the Canadian LX style manual seatbelts. You'd need the seatbelts themselves, new B-pillar trim (with holes for seatbelt mounts), and the lower seatbelt mount. You'll be much happier without the motor belts, believe me
