Re: seat belt motors
You can just unplug them from the harness. Or check to see what is causing them to bind up if its an easy fix then that will take care of it.

Seat belt motor
I am having a problem locating and replacing the seat belt motor on the drivers side. If nothing else is there a way to manually lock seat belt slide in locked position?

Re: seat belt motors
Carlton31204, the seatbelt motor is behind the B pillar below the quarter window.
fordforlife, it is possible to lube the track to make it slide more easily. The most effective way is to pull the whole track but this isn't necessarily easy. A quick fix would be to spray some white lithium grease in there. Daily6621, not sure what is causing your problem. It is possible that the belts are binding in the track and not allowing full forward travel. If that is the case, the motor is still trying to push. I have a similar issue on one of my '93s. Every now and then when I open the door the seat belt will only travel about 1 inch and quit. (this is when I'm in the car, it's running, and I want to get out.) If I close the door and open it again, all works well. Haven't been motivated to find out why. It is possible there is a dead spot in the motor, but that is just a guess at this point.
