Re: Hobby Lobby is my favorite store!

I've already told you about the testarossa which I have also. With the skyline, I had a bit of a problem with the body not wanting to stay clicked onto the chassis, and the camber and height of the wheels were wierd for me so it was like they were rubbing the wheel wells, but that was probably just my error and not the kits.

Re: Hobby Lobby is my favorite store!

Are they having a sale or something??

I've built the Lightning twice, mine had some serious warped-chassis issues the second time around but I'd had the kit a while so I don't know what went wrong there. Make sure to glue on all the body kit peices before you paint, I didn't do this the first time and it didn't look so good. Also, the windshield glues on from the OUTSIDE. I didn't realize that the first time around. I have the Porsche, but I haven't done much more than look at it since I got it.

DAMN IT DAMN IT

I went by last week and they told me, no we had our 50% off sale last week and we won't have another one for a month or two...so I bought two C6's (Will wanted one) at their ridiculous price. LIARS.

Congrats on getting such a good deal, but man, you ruined my day!

Re: Hobby Lobby is my favorite store!

I just checked thier site and they are having a 50% off from the 18th through the 23rd.

And you think you were mad? Try buying the Revell 427 Cobra kit for 23 dollars, going back the next week and seeing it for 12 dollars, then it being on a half off sale of the 12 dollars. That made me pissed.

Well, atleast I get my mom's 15% off also, so it makes buying a bit easier on the wallet, except for when I want a tamiya kit, then I have to go to Hobby Town USA. Atleast their starting to learn my name since I'm in there enough buying paints and other miscellaneous items for my models.

Re: Hobby Lobby is my favorite store!

Are you talking about the 1:24/25 Cobra kit? Dude....I see that one at Walmart for $10.

I need to pick up a few more kits anyways, gotta build up a 2k2 Electron Blue convertible 'Vette for a friend of mine; one for the body etc and one just for the wheels. It'll be a "quickie."

Geez, only two minutes for this page to come up...I just love this damned server .

Got a pair of C6's and a new Viper. I passed on the $10 Scaglietti.

The sale two weeks ago was on diecast, not plastic. They have sales every couple of months, I don't fret if I miss something this time.

Re: Hobby Lobby is my favorite store!

I just picked up a Ferrari 360 Modena Spider, and a Dodge Viper GTS. Total was about 15 bucks I think. Yay or nay on those kits? I was going to pick up a few more, but decided against it at the moment.

Also, they have a bunch of Testors paints there, 99¢ per bottle. (Little bottles). I've got some from a starter set that I bought. I thought maybe I could go back and get more of some colors that I don't have. However, are those kinds any good? Can I do much with that paint, or is it just good brush paint? Is that included in their 50% off sale?

Also, are there any rare good kits that I could look for? They had a bazillion kits there, and I had no idea which were rare/common.

Thanks!
