Testors Laquer Primer; anybody tried it?
How does it compare to Tamiya? Cannot get Tamiya lately because of recall. I will airbrush for more control. How is it for smoothness and scale thickness?

No clue about the Testors, but if you can't get Tamiya I recommend GSI Mr Surfacer, quality stuff

Haven`t tried the Testors Primer yet. I have tried the laquer colors from the Custom Laquer`s series, and they are great. IMO, they cover just as well, if not better than Tamiya. Scale thickness is excellent.
However, why not try Duplicolor primer? It fills gaps great, sands super smooth, and isn`t "goopy". You can get the 11 oz cans (the big ones) for less than the 5oz Tamiya or Testors.

It's Just Like Tamiya Primer,But Don't Mix & Match Paints
Testors Laquer Primer/Color/Clear And Nothing Else!(Trust Me I Tryed It)

Yup. And as I'm guessing 935 read in my response at another board, Tamiya's clear doesn't mess with Testors color lacquers like it sometimes does with the spray colors in its own range...
