reset anything after intake install?

ok, this sounds stupid but i installed a SRI on my 01 Focus ZX3 and it started acting all crazy. It started sputtering and i couldnt take it over 3K RPM. Under full throttle, it felt like i had just hit a fuel cutoff switch or something. This only happened after i installed the intake. I am not very familiar with Fords (used to be a honda guy) but now i own this focus and a 04 Ranger and im just trying to learn some stuff about them. Anyways, is there a reset switch or something that im not aware of or does anyone know why this might have happened?

Thanks
Bryan
