Re: another question: whot is a "camber kit"?

camber is the off angle of your tire, perpindicular to the ground. wether it 'leans' in or out. when lowering your car, you may need a camber kit to keep your tires perpindicular to the ground as to prevent uneven wear, and loss of traction. check out 2gnt.com . there is a lot of info about non turbo eclipses in there...

Re: another question: whot is a "camber kit"?

I wouldn't worry about a camber kit unless you drop your car more than 1.75 inches. but any more than that and you're gonna need one. As far as hp.... Instant and serious horsepower can be achieved by turboing your 420a. Hahn racecraft (hrc) makes a kit and so does star performance. But be careful when doing this if your engine has high miles or wasn't taken care of the best. You also might wanna upgrade some internals. Everything else you need will be included in the kit. Other than that the standard mods will help, headers, exhaust, intake, etc. but none will come close to the power you will get from a turbo.

Re: another question: whot is a "camber kit"?

check the angle of your tires... or the tread wear. If they are wearing unevenly or you can see the wheel sitting at a visible angle, then yes.. you need a kit. if your tread is wearing evenly, and you don't shake at high speeds.. you should be good to go. But if you have the money (about 120 bucks for a good one) I'd invest in a kit... if the car is dropped.

Re: Re: another question: whot is a "camber kit"?

2nr99 is right, unless you are dropping it more than 1 3/4 inches you don't need to worry about camber... eibach pro springs are highly used and very good springs for a good drop that has a great ride...

Re: another question: whot is a "camber kit"?

The kit you have posted is ok... But looks more like a kit some dude at a machine shop made it and is tryin to get some extra cash. Personally I'd go with an ingalls kit (I did actually) you can look at it and tell it's better quality. It'll be another 40 dollars... but you'll save that in tires and the ride will be better

Re: Re: another question: whot is a "camber kit"?

yes, i'm gunna use that kit when i get my tein flex/edfc setup... camber kits aren't that expensive to begin with, so get a good one, but again, you are not going to need one unless you are dropping it too low with springs or are buying coilovers...
