Oh God ... another largest tires question: 285/75/16's
Sorry for this seemingly redundant question, but I'm getting conflicting info searching thru past posts.
Anyone know what is the largest tire one can run on a stock 16" rim? I have a 2000 Silverado LT, Z71 4x4. It has 265/75/16's now. Is 285/75/16 the largest? Or can we go larger? |

Re: Oh God ... another largest tires question: 285/75/16's
you can go larger, say a 305/70/16 for example, you can even run 315's on stock rims, but I wouldn't go any larger than that. 285's fit great and look good as well.

If you haul anything I wouldn't go any larger than 285/75/16 on stock rims. Larger tires will fit, But the sidewall will be ballooned to much and the weight carrying and possibly even the handling will dimminish. The 285 is the largest that will fit the truck without some sort of lift.
