Blew motor, starting mini me!!!

Ok, so finally my engine blew after 150K miles on it after nitrous and now boosting. I spun a bearing, threw the second cylindar rod and put a hole about the size of a lightbulb in the block. Will have pics up after we get the engine totally out the car.

Now after a lot of scrambling around, I found a donor D16A6 engine and I have a D16Y8 head. Now I know that will raise the compression on this motor so what was done, the block was fully rebuilt and some 92-95 pistons and rods where thrown in there to lower the compression. So I should be now running like 8.5-1 or 9-1 compression which is good. I know for at first I will be putting the whole A6 engine in there with head and all, I know this might not work well due to the fact that it's OBD0. Now my team of people have never done this type of swap before, so I have questions.

Ready for the barage of questions? Has anyone ever done this before and had some experience with it? Are there anything i should take in mind before doing this? I have a 95 OBD1 civic, I think the Y8 head is obd1 also but i could be wrong, but in the mean time im gonna be running my ecu without vtec, will that harm anything in the meantime before I get the correct ecu, and what ecu should i get? I might have some more during this swap which we will be doing all day. So keep on the lookout.

Got it tuned, having mad fun running 8-9 psi.

B18C1 is on the back burner as I play with this setup for a while.

Re: Blew motor, starting mini me!!!

The Y8 head is OBD2 I think. And you should use a obd1 Vtec ecu p28 I think or you could use an RPM activated switch to engage the Vtec.
