Digital dashboard problems

I am having problems with the digital dash in my 1993 Chevy Tahoe LT Blazer S-10. A while back everything stopped working except for the speedometer and the odometer. None of the gauges work. Once in a while they light up for a second or so. The odometer works most of the time but it stops working occasionally as well.

Please help,

Could this be a loose connection in the wiring or do I need a dashboard repair kit?

Thanks

Re: Digital dashboard problems

E-mail [email protected], he sells repair kits for those dashes for $25.00. Or you can send him the dash and he will fix it.

Please DO NOT e-mail this address. That would be me, and I do not sell car parts of any kind for any amount of money, except for one part one time that I did sell to one person on eBay because it was collecting dust in my house. I do not routinely fix anything. I'm sure someone does this, but you have the wrong address.

Re: Digital dashboard problems

The concern here is the root cause of the problem. Regardless of the circuit, the two vital areas of concern are voltage and ground. If these components are present in the circuit, the problem is the circuit itself. It is easier for some circuits than others to check these things, however, checking them is vital to a correct repair. Ray

I have the exact same blazer as you. The person I bought it from had to replace the dash and spent $210 somewhere. I'm not sure where, but it's kind of pricey. But I have seen these used dashes on ebay for under $100 if you want to try that way.

Re: Digital dashboard problems

The correct email address for the guy on ebay that repairs instrument clusters for only 65.00 and sells parts is: [email protected]. I have replaced 2 dashes in 8 years for $500.00 a pop. I have another broken one and plan to use this guy. He has excellant reviews on ebay.
