Digital Dashboard
I have the oppurtunity to salvage a digital dash from an 87 gta, and was wondering if anyone knows if it's possible to install this in a T/A that currently has an analog dash with current wiring harnesses and such.

hey dude i had a 87 Trans am se that i was restoring, i got the entire
dash from a junked out gta for $25, well like a dummy i cut the wiring tring to install it, after connecting everything it still didnt work, im sure that a wiring geneous could get it working, cause it works off the same sending units as the analog does. but do you have the whole dash with the plugs that go in the back of the digital instrument panel??? you will need them cause your current wiring harness wont work cause the plugs are different and there is a extra plug on the back of the digital dash, i have everything to hook it up, but i didnt get mine working.

As far as i know, the digital dash was working when he the car got totalled, so the original wiring harness should still be there. But, i'm no wiring genius, so I have no clue how big a chore this might be.

Re: Digital Dashboard
if your car is a 87 and the carr was a 87 that the digital dash came out of just umplug the harness from the firewall inside the car and try plugging the
didgitals plug into the firewall and see if that does it. see i had to cut my cars harness cause it was older than the gta i got it from, so your plugs may match.
