Whats up with that side air intake, it looks misplaced, pointing upwards instead of straight...other than that

Re: Turbo Question

Well, youre def. gonna need a blow off valve, and probably a boost controller and boost gauge if you dont know what the wastegate comes set at. By the way, is this kit new or used?

Actually, why dont you just get the Greddy 15g kit? Its about the same price, and smog legal, and probably better quality. Go over to honda-acura.net and PM sleepercivicex, he can hook you up with the greddy kit for cheap.

Re: Turbo Question

the greddy kit comes complete with everything except an intercooler i believe so since you have an IC, you're all set.

Well SleeperCivicEx can get you that kit for about $100 cheaper than that price. Basically, the greddy kit comes set at 5.5 psi, which will put you about 150-155 whp, which will put you in the high 14's, around the same as a GSR, maybe faster if youre a good driver. All you need to run 5.5 psi besides what comes in the kit is a blow off valve which you can get for about 100 bucks. If you want to up the boost level, youre going to need an intercooler, boost controller, and boost gauge. If you want to go higher than 7 psi, youre going to need better fuel management, probably an Apexi VAFC and some bigger injectors.

Re: Turbo Question

the BOV makes the car non-carb legal, so if you're from a place that does regular emissions testings you're going to have to either uninstall the turbo when it comes around to testing or find another way around it.

Re: Turbo Question

The BOV has nothing to do with Carb legality. All it does it let out the boost pressure when you take your foot off the gas.

At 7 psi youd be lookin at about 170-180 hp, youd need 9 or 10 psi to get 200 hp

Re: Turbo Question

I know what the BOV does, however everyone and their mother has told me that adding a BOV makes the kit non-carb legal. Why I have no clue, just what i've read.

Oh and it's not just adding a BOV that will make it non-carb legal, adding an intercooler will too.
