I love my B16B

We can beat almost anything on the road, it sounds like music, and it looks great. That is all

Anybody else have one to share my glory? I know of only 2-3 other people on here.

Good deal. You could port and polish the head as well as get higher profile cams and upgrade the valve train. While you're at it bump the compression with some ctr pistons or a Mugen headgasket or even stroke it.

i hope to be getting my b16b in like a year or 2 plan to stroke it too who makes the kit i'm trying to remeber. its from 1.6 to 2.0 add some cams that'll be some all motor ownage.

Why dont u just buy a gsr and stroke that up? Its alot cheaper than buying the b16b.

That would be the most horrific overspending ever. B16B is pretty much a B16A, but it costs a ton more because it came from a CTR (i've heard that B16B has a taller deck height but I can't confirm or deny) If you want more displacement, get a B18C1 and bore it out a few MM. If you're staying N/A you can go 84MM which is just about 2 liters, but I like to keep it @ 83 so you can rebuild easier incase you melt a piston or whatnot.

well the CTR motor is a well built motor and the stroke kits for the b16a s are from 1.6 to 1.8 not shabby at at all but the B16b is all coated and what not from what i've heard so i figure spend some more on the motor to start rather then while building it i look at it this way too GSR motor 170hp 1.8 while the CTR is 185hp 1.6 a stroke that would make it a 2.0 while depending on then company the GSR stroke can be up to 2.2 is the largest i've seen and would be sweet. it just doesn't seem to be the same power wise. I'm just guessing like 220 for the stroked CTR and like 200 for the stroke GSR. sure the price of the CTR over the GSR is alot and a set of cams would tie them power wise and the GSR would be cheaper but lacks the coatings and super high redline that is used in the CTR. But if you think that its a bad idea i'm willing to hear other ideas i'm looking for a High redling (making power up there too) fast reving allmotor engine.

Just listen to boosted331. I agree with him. I do love my b16 but its a 1.6 ltr and its torqueless! I'm gonna be using my c5 block but the project is still unfinished cause i can't sell my b16a swap lol. Anyways i dont what coatings your talkin about. It doesn't matter as long as you're rebuilding the motor. High revving? U can make any of the motors to rev high. Just gotta build it to handle high revving and chip the ecu to where it can rev. Believe me you'll be saving more by goin gsr motor. Then stroke that up to 2.0 or 2.2. I'm gonna get me the 86 mm sleeves for my block. To be a fast all motor u need to squeeze everything u got just to be real fast. Its really up to you but i'm just givin u some suggestions. CTR is really not worth it unless u gonna keep it stock.
