George I need a tech explanation help please.

I'm kinda frustrated. My manual tranny blew on me taking the drivers side cv joint with it...I've never seen that before and I'm kinda baffled...Imagine if I hadstarted gettin my DET in there.

I'm wondering if there is going to be anyway of making the car strong enough for the DET and what tranny I should use pre turbo?

This is unbelievable that tranny's been running only 6 months :_(

Are you sure the tranny is blown? If only the drivers side CV blew then you could still lose drive. Or is there an obvious sign of damage to the tranny?

Strength? Use the tranny that comes with the DET?

Yikes! This is all new to me. Congratulations on being unique!

Sorry to hear about this. I think it's a fluke occurance. You shouldn't have to do anything to use this gearbox with a DET. The known issue with the gearbox is a weak 3rd gear, but unless you are brutal on a gearbox, you shouldn't have a problem with a modestly modified DET.

Sandy, the DET gearbox won't work for us since the DET only comes AWD, and you're one of the few lucky buggers with a AWD Primera.

Great I am unique :-( The tranny has a hole in it and its cracked...Would it have been dangerous for me if the wheel shattered?

I'm pickin up a 95 240sx so I guess thats gonna become my new project car for me.
