Toyota AE86 Sprinter Trueno 1983 with 4A-GEU engine

Hi there,

due to the "no painting weather" time of the year I decided to treat myself to a pre-painted Aoshima model kit:

The kit is meticolously painted, no flaws at all! A real joy to be fooling around with. You know me... I just can't build anything completely OOB. Therefore I'll add the 4A-GEU engine from the following kit:

Allright, here are the first pictures...

ignition wires are a must

brake booster with brake lines and transparent (!) vacuum hose

heat shield made from leftover PE parts

and one of the reference pics

stay tuned...

Greetz Sebastian

I made some pictures with the engine bay mocked-up in the bodyshell...

Ignition wires, rubber hoses and the air filter are items from ScaleProduction

More later... it will be ready for Jabbeke / Belgium, which is coming up soon.

The body doesn't look bad at all being painted at aoshima. Are the front bumpers/mirrors and hood on a tree?

Should look clean once done.

It looks fantastic, great idea to combine the best parts of the two kits.

I love the way your engine bay and engine looks, so I'm going to use your photos to ade me in my scratch build of my fujimi engine bay.

Thanks for posting your awesome work.
