Models Galore from HL!

Just got back from hobby lobby, and lets just say that I didn't come away with the raw end of the deal. Here's what I got:

AMT - 1955 Chevrolet Nomad - $11.48 regularly, $5.74 clearance
Revell - 1999 Mitsubishi Eclipe Tuner Series -$13.99
Revell - VW Golf II GTi with Tuner Version - $10.99 regularly, $5.49 clearance
Tamiya - Mitsubishi GTO Twin Turbo - $15.99
Tamiya - Honda S2000 - $24.99
Tamiya - Xanavi Nismo GT-R (R34) - $32.99

Adding all those up, it comes to $99.19, but wait, 15% due to employees discount since my mom works there. That takes of $14.88 and brings it down to $84.31, oh yea, the 50% off sale on all plastic models. That takes of $42.16 and bring the total to $42.15. Adding $3.37 in tax, the grand total of my shopping spree is $45.52!

There was also a Tamiya Ferrari Enzo for 38ish dollars and a Tamiya Ferrari 360 Spider for 36ish dollars. Though those would have been nice, they are past my modeling level...for now.

Also, who ever was talking about the resin kit casting set. It is made by Alumilite if I remember correctly.

Re: Made out like a bandit

Yea, I just got back from Hobby Town USA, and the same Enzo kit was 50 bucks. I could have gotten it for like 16. Should have taken it while I could, but wait, the weeks not over yet!

Heading back up to HL later today, anybody have any suggestions on what I should get? There aren't any SUV's, only one or two trucks, quite a few of nascar, alot of muscle, and quite a bit of tuner/import. Also, a little bit of exotic, but not much, also a few racing specs like the Skyline I picked up, the Jaqs(sp?) accord and some racing Beamer. Ideas for models that would be easy to mod or good kits, please let me know.

BWHAHAHAHA! Two Tamiya Ferrari's for the price of half. Got the Ferrari Enzo and the Ferrari 360 Spider. The total was 34 bucks, that's practically half of Hobby Town USA's price. Well, it's more like 3/4 But hey, that is cheap as hell and two really nice models for that price, but now I'm afraid to even open them. They are just that cool.

I just picked up a jeep and an impala to finish up the one I started a while back. They had four or five yellow enzos and I thought hard about getting a couple of em. But need to spend money on the 1:1.
