Bmw M3 Schnitzer

hi all

this is the first time I post my wip pic's in here and I want to show you my long time project, a bmw m3 schnitzer.
I had this idea since I bought a tamiya RC m3 scnitzer kit that was beautifull and I thinking that I should have one for my 1:24 collection, and it would fit great with the ford sierra.

so I started with this kit

anyone who had this kit know that this is a not a good kit (a bad one actually) but it the only one I found for this model.
a lot of work had to be done like filling the roof window and lowering the front.
and here is what I have this far

well not the best finishing work you have seen I know but it's coming out nice and I think after fitting the decals and a little more work it will be a cool model.

Re: Bmw M3 Schnitzer

Hi, you're lucky man. this kit is very hard to find! . I agree it's a bad kit. height is too short, the twin kidney grille doesn't look good. But anyway something is better than nothing . By the way, MSM Creation is going to make some decals for E30 M3, they're 89-91 Macau Guia Race. check out their future release page

p.s. I'm from HK too

Great job so far.

That is fantastic news that MSM is releasing decals. I just hope they will fit the Renaissance model I have? Anybody know what kit the made them for?

Re: Bmw M3 Schnitzer

Looks good so far.

I have one in the loft that I made years ago and did think about restoring it but decided not to due to the incorrect body shape, interior etc. If doing one again I think I would do the same as Technoman and go for the Rennaisance version (although it is expensive!)

Re: Bmw M3 Schnitzer

thanks everyone

winstonm3bmw I'm not in HK, why did you think I am?

the decals I'm going to use are from pattos place decals

www.pattosplace.com

they are pretty good but I think I will be have to print some decals myself.

the final goal is somthing like this

Re: Bmw M3 Schnitzer

Looks pretty good, but maybe you should use Bare Metal Foil for the grille trim, as it looks much better than silver paint.

Re: Bmw M3 Schnitzer

ok after a long time that I have been busy I found the time to continue the work.
I did some decal work and I think it looks good but now I need to make some more decals by myselfe so I ordered the waterslide paper.
so chake it out.
