Ferrari 642 decals

Hello guys

Yesterday I found a pretty rare 1/24 Hasegawa Collector's Hi-Grade Ferrari 642 in my LHS. It was hiden behind all the other kits...I've been going there for a couple of years now and never saw it...!!
Anyway, the kit is very good. Has tons of white metal parts and 2 small sheets of PE and all. Really great stuff.
The only problem is the decals. Since the kit is quite old and has been stashed away, the decals are very yellow and most of them are cracked.

To be very honest, I don't know any other 1/24 642. Does anyone know where I can get a new decal sheet?

Regards,
Pedro.

Re: Ferrari 642 decals

Thank you Veyron, but only a couple of the Ferrari and Agip badges of that sheet could be used. All the rest is quite different.

Does anyone else have anything to share on this?

Regards,
Pedro.

Should this not be in the car modelling thread?

Re: Ferrari 642 decals

Are they cracked, or do they just looked crazed? I have had decals that look crazed (also Hasegawa) but were fine once I applied them. Stick them in the sun to get rid of the yellow.

Re: Ferrari 642 decals

The decals are not broken nor crazed (thankfully!!)
So I guess putting them in the Sun should do the trick..

Thanks, AJ!

Re: Ferrari 642 decals

Hmm..will the decal "melt" in the sun? I ever tried to rid the yellow decals in the sun, managed to do so but when i apply the decal to the model, it kinda seem/felt stretchy...

Sorry for jacking your post pedro.
