Hi, I have a 2000 Dodge Dakota and was woundering if any one has ran into this issue before. My fog lights are staying on when I turn off the truck and the switch. Ive pulled the relay and they are still on. I also see the light on the switch staying on telling me my fog lights are still on when the switch is off.

Re: My Fog lights are staying on
Does the headlight switch also control the fog lights? I know it does in the 99. If so, you will probably have to replace the headlight switch in the cab and it should take care of the problem.

Re: My Fog lights are staying on
check your wiring and make sure that you don't have a bare wire in contact with the frame, this will cause a short and fog lights will stay on. Did you install the foglights or are they stock?
When I help my friend install aftermarket fog lights on his 98 Dakota, we had a similar problem, the foglights would turn on even if the the truck was turned off. We fixed this by keep the braket from grounding to the frame. |

Re: My Fog lights are staying on
When my daytime running lights were stuck on, I had to unplug this connector that was located on the inner driver-side fender. It's about the only plug connector mounted on the inner fender itself. This is on my Ram, not a Dakota, but it is a start of advice for you anyway. Good luck.
