98 windstar front wiper fluid not working
My front wiper fluid quite working. When I push on the control, no fluid comes out. The wipers don't activate either like they usually do when you activate the fluid. Any ideas?

Re: 98 windstar front wiper fluid not working
You have access to a Haynes/Chiltons repair manual? If not I will look up some wiring diagrams for you and let you know what I think might be the first place to start. But the back works fine huh?
Hopefully it would just be the push button or turn switch on the end of your wiper controller. |

Try using the reply button instead of the report post button.

Nope. I don't have the manual, so anything would help. Yes, the back works. Front is none responsive (fluid and wipers) to the button, but wipers will go otherwise.

Re: 98 windstar front wiper fluid not working
Sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you. Been really busy and honestly I forgot. The diagrams I have are for a 2001. So I don't know if everything will be the same. If you can find Connector 263 should be in a box under the driver's side instrument panel area. Check either with a continuity tester or multimeter, pins 2 & 4. Press the washer switch or rotate it and your tester should light up or the multimeter indicate continuity. This will let you know if the switch is working. Also listen when you hit the washer switch if you hear a relay shutting. My best guess at this point would be relay or the switch on the stick. I am going to try and pull some of these pictures off my service manual CD, and email em to you. Sorry I can't be much more help.
