I have a 97 Grand Cherokee Laredo. The power windows do not work now and have been going out intermitantly. Some doors lock, some don't with the RKE. Has anyone experienced this problem and know how to fix the problem? I think the problem centers in the main switch on the driver's side but do not know how to chase down a solution. Please help, wife's car and she is getting REALLy testy about it!
Thanks!

Same problem here - someone help!
I have been having the same problem with the windows but didn't think to check the locks, I will keep an eye out for that. With my windows one day the control won't work the drivers side, the next day it will and won't work another window! It keeps doing that. Every now and then it will work for all the windows. ~ Thanks, Cruz

Re: Power windows and locks - NOT!
I had that problem too! bought new switch (NOPE)
When you open your driver side door their should be a rubber housing where your wires run from your windows and lock etc. Check the wires, mine had the power window wire pinched in half! Just twisted the wires back together Elec.taped it up BAM GOOD AS NEW! I dont know how they got pinched in half but they were! |
