me too

Hey 98 my dash does the same, i think it's the strip piece that the windshield defroster blows throught. Everytime there's an extreme temp change it is loose for the day, for example really hot days during the summer of course it expands so it's cool, but then in the winter it's not. I've posted this problem myself awhile ago and no one answered. Just because it isn't a hardcore techinical problem doesn't mean that the 19 of u who looked at this post can answer. All I want to know is if anyone when they took off there dash knows/seen how and in my case would be where i can tighten it.

if you take off your dash, you will see some small short strips of padded foam tape. and some places where the dash wedges itself on the clips.

try and use a thicker, more molding foam tape. also check the spots where it clamps on. see if you can find a thin absorbant tape or rubber to coat it. maybe even use some of that rubber handle maker for tools and paint some of that on the metal.

the dynomat will dampen your doors for you yes, go for it. it will make the sound in your car better.. as for the paneling itself the dynomat is too thick to put in the gap. you will need to find the loose places and reglue or tighten the screws.

get creative. without seeing your cars or being in there, i don't know for sure the layout. from past experiences with my old malibus and my vw's and friends' cars, i would just tell you to look, listen and learn. use a small piece of cardboard to move around and find the rattle, then when found... put something more permanent and nicer in place. good luck

get back to me on this, let me know what you find.
