95 525 rebuild

I want to bore out my M50 block as far as it will go.Has anyone ever done this?Is it recommended? The head gasket blew, when I took it off, the block had huge ridges in the zylinder walls.Engine has 230k on it.I would like to make it a little peppier.Have had the head worked over with the usual port and polish, valves, guides, valve seats and all that jazz.Didnt realize the block was bad till after the head was done.Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: 95 525 rebuild

Never heard of anybody doing that. Just replace the engine, it's never going to be a fast car........
