2000 Jetta Disable Warning Beep
I don't even want to explain for the millionth time today how and why and how many times the internal speaker in my car annoys me for wrong reasons. The "beep" for washer fluid, ice, gas, brake fluid, it's absurd and alwasy falesly tripped. I just had the brakes worked on and now all I here is beep beep beep and I know that it's just confused. I need to disable the internal speaker. I want to know how I can get to it or if i can just remove a fuse to kill the computer, and is that safe.... Please help. It will cost me 75$ to get the computer reset. If you can tell me how to kill the speaker I swear to god I'd gladly mail you 50$. Please help.

Re: 2000 Jetta Disable Warning Beep
I believe that little warning buzzer/beeper is inside the instrument cluster's internal control unit. I've never had a later model one apart, but if you can get it open it should be able to be disconnected if it's truly malfunctioning.
