'05 SXT SE - How to disable liftgate beep alarm?

2005 Grand Caravan SXT Special Edition (without EVIS display). Got the alarm horn on lock and flashing light show for the electric side doors turned off, but didn't find how to disable the electric liftgate beep alarm and light flash. Did I miss that one in the manual? How do? Thanks.

I have a 2002 TC, and would love to disable the horn on lock. Can you share how? And I'd also be interested in how to disable the liftgate beeping.

It was mentioned in my manual but, sorry, I don't have it here. Not sure if I am recalling it correctly, but you can try this:

With doors closed but unlocked > press and hold door lock button on key fob > while door lock button is pressed, press Panic button on key fob > release both buttons simultaneously.

If that doesn't work, check you manual or let me know. I can look it up for you.

pastaben--dholly is correct. Only thing I would add is hold the key fob lock button down at least 5 seconds before you press panic button and then release both buttons. I don't have the power liftgate so don't have beep when opening or closing. However, looked in Owners Manual and it doesn't give any procedure for cancellling the beep on the power door.

Thanks for the horn-on-lock detail C.B. I went back and looked thru the manual again too but found nothing on the liftgate alarm. It appears that the legal team won that discussion. C'mon people, they had the power liftgate on earlier models; somebody must have hacked it by now!

Anybody have a ESM on CD that shows wiring harness schematic? Is the liftgate safety reverse and beep horn run off the same sensor switch leads? Or, can you just snip a beep wire lead? Anyone?
