Rebuild or swap?
Does it make more sense to rebuild a hig mileage engine or to swap it for a new one? (cost/labor)

Re: Rebuild or swap?
Dude...i was just going to ask the same question. What i want to do when i get my VR-4 and i start modding it up i want to swap out the old engine and put the new one in...but befor i put the new engine in i think i'm going to rebuild it and put high performance parts in the engine. Then that way i already have a lower mileaged engine with a high performance rebuild.Make cents?

Re: Rebuild or swap?
It all depends on why you want to "rebuild".
If your rebuilding for broken parts and major damage a swap might be a better option. If you just want to make sure it keeps running for the next 100k miles. You can probably jsut replace the wear parts cheaper.
