Porting gains?
I was just curious what kind of gains people got out of porting? I was just trying to judge if it was worth it or not, I figured maybe I could teach myself, I've got a shot turbine housing and a few manifolds to practice on, but if its one of those things that barely nets a gain, I'd prefer not to even bother.

Its not really worth it until you are making big power, but go ahead and practice anyway. There is a vfaq on turbine housing porting. Its good expereince to have

i just finished porting my o2 housing today, i haven't ever ported anything before, i found that it was an extremely easy thing to do. i ported and polished it in about 6 hours. but my air compressor couldnt keep up with my die grinder so thats why it took so long. i thought it was a lot of fun to do any way. so i would say print off the vfaq and go at it.
